The user manual that accompanies your device provides detailed information on the use and maintenance of your I-neb. This summary relates to the use of your I-neb for the administration of Promixin (colistimethate sodium) only. In some cases, your doctor may have instructed you to use your I-neb to administer other medications. In such cases, please ask your doctor for advice on how to administer other medications through the I-neb.
You should never use bleach or similar products to clean your I-neb. The I-neb and its components are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. Do not use brushes or sharp objects to clean any part of the I-neb/its components. Try not to touch the silver mesh in the coloured chamber. It is the most delicate part of the I-neb and is easily damaged.
Ensure your I-neb is sufficiently charged and the Promixin disc has been inserted. There should be at least 2 bars showing on the battery display icon.

Note: The grey chamber is the standard dosing chamber for Promixin. Some people may be advised by their doctor to use the lilac chamber to administer their Promixin dose. Please only use the lilac chamber if you have been instructed to do so by your doctor.
You should also perform a weekly wash of your I-neb parts. This is important to help keep your I-neb working well.
Regular cleaning of your I-neb, as instructed, will help to keep your I-neb working well. Poorly cleaned components can make your I-neb less efficient in delivering medication, meaning it will take you longer to complete your treatments.
